How to get to here?

Carriageworks Sydney is located at 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh NSW 2015

  • Train: Carriageworks is easily accessible by train. Walk eight minutes from Redfern Station, ten minutes from Macdonaldtown Station or 15 minutes from Newtown Station.
  • Bus: Bus routes 422, 423, 426, 428, 370, 352 stop on City Road at Sydney University, a five minute walk from Carriageworks.
  • Bike: There are bike lanes on nearby streets and bike racks on Wilson Street at the the top of the stairs, near the main entrance.
  • Car & Parking: Limited on-site parking is available at the end of Carriageworks Way. Enter via 229 Wilson Street.
  • Additional parking may be available at South Eveleigh, 2 Central Avenue, a 15-minute walk to Carriageworks via the Redfern footbridge and Little Eveleigh Street.

What is the accesibility like?

All on-site parking and venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Service animals are allowed within the premise, while domestic animals are not permitted.

Accessible parking is available at the end of Carriageworks Way. Enter via 229 Wilson Street.

Taxis and rideshare services can enter at 229 Wilson Street for level access entry.

The closest train station with wheelchair access is Redfern Station which recently underwent upgrades to improve accessibility, however Platforms 11 and 12 (Eastern Suburbs Railway and Illawarra Line) are only accessible via stairs or escalator.

Can children attend?

Tickets are calculated per head, and an individual ticket would need to be purchased per attendance. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Is food and drink available at the event?

Yes, absolutely! Food truck options will be available on-site, serving a variety of tasty options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals, as well as barista-crafted coffee and a selection of hot & cold drinks.

Do I need to bring my own camera? or What should I bring to FRMEFEST?

We recommend bringing:

  • Your camera gear (if attending workshops)
  • A notepad or tablet for taking notes
  • Business cards for networking
Can I leave and re-enter the event throughout the two days?

Yes, re-entry is permitted for all ticket holders provided it is the correct ticket for the day. Just ensure you keep your event wristband or pass on at all times.

Will there be opportunities to try camera gear?

Will I be able to attend every session?

Yes, you can choose to attend Day 1 – Foundations Day, Day 2 – Level Up Day, or both days.

Can I purchase tickets on the day?

Yes, but it will be extremely limited, and a first in first serve basis. We will likely sell out fast and highly recommend purchasing tickets on our website in advance.

Can I purchase camera gear on site?

Yes! FRMEFEST Marketplace powered by Camerahouse, will stock the latest camera gear with exclusive sales to purchase on the day. There will be ample opportunity to explore different models and ask questions from our experts.
