The FRMEFEST Event Reel Competition is your chance to show off your storytelling, editing, and content creation skills in one killer reel. From workshops to exhibits, candid moments to live action, shoot the festival through your lens and create a reel that captures the spirit of FRMEFEST. Itâs open to all attendees and the prize is massive.
How to Participate:
Film your FRMEFEST experience across both days. Think about what makes the event stand out, the atmosphere, the people, the creative energy. Edit your reel to include strong visuals, sound, pacing and transitions. Then post your 30 to 60 second reel on Instagram or TikTok with hashtags #FRMEFEST2025 and #FRMEFESTReelChallenge, and tag @frmefest, @canonanz and @camerahouse. Submissions close at 5:00pm AEST on Monday 28 July 2025.
Judging Criteria:
Creativity, storytelling, technical execution, connection to the event, and engagement.
The Prize:
A full creatorâs dream kit worth AUD$10,000, including a Canon EOS R6 Mark II Premium Kit, Rode mic, tripod, filters, a mentorship session with a Canon Circle Mentor and more, all supplied by Camera House. Youâll also be named the FRMEFEST 2025 Official Overall Winner and walk away with serious bragging rights.
Winner Announcement:
The winner will be announced on the official @frmefest Instagram on Wednesday 30 July 2025 and contacted directly to coordinate prize delivery and content collaboration.

How to Participate:
Head to the Porsche activation display during downtime between masterclasses. Snap your best shot of the car in action or on display. Think detail, angles, light, story. Edit your image onsite at The Editing Stationbr on your own device. Then post your final shot to Instagram (story or feed) with hashtags #FRMEFEST2025 and #FRMEFESTdynamicdrivephotography, and tag @porschecentreparramatta and @frmefest. Get ready to capture the raw energy and fluid motion of boxing in action. The In-Motion Boxing Videography Competition gives FRMEFEST attendees the chance to film boxers in their natural rhythm – reacting, moving, and striking in real-time. Your goal is to create a dynamic and high-energy 10-second sequence that showcases the free-flowing movement of the sport.
How to Participate:
Head to the In-Motion Boxing activation and wait for your turn to film. Youâll get 5 minutes with a real boxer to capture your footage. Edit your 10 to 20 second clip either onsite or on your own device. Then post it to Instagram (story or feed) with hashtags #FRMEFEST2025 and #FRMEFESTMyNikonLife, and tag @nikonaustralia and @frmefest. Entries close at 4:00pm on Sunday 20 July.
Judging Criteria:
Movement synchronisation, camera work, creativity, post-production editing, and overall impact.
The Prize:
A Nikon Z5II + 24-70mm kit valued at AUD$3,500, along with the FRMEFEST 2025 Action Videography Award and full bragging rights.

The Foodie Lens Competition
Unleash your creativity and turn your lunch into a competition submission for FRMEFESTâs tastiest photography challenge! Inspired by Fujifilmâs X-M5 Foodtography Tours, this is your chance to transform your meal into a mouthwatering masterpiece. Whether itâs the sizzling colours of charred vegetable skewers, the textures of a gourmet burger, or the glossy glaze on a Mochi Donut from the Creatorâs Kitchen, capture it before you eat it.
How to Participate:
Pick a delicious dish from the onsite food trucks or food activation. Use your camera and food styling skills to capture an aesthetic photo of your dish. Share your masterpiece on Instagram story or feed with hashtags #FRMEFEST2025, #FRMEFESTfoodielens, #Fujifilmx_au, and tag @fujifilmx_au and @frmefest. Entries must be posted by 4:00pm on Sunday 20 July to be considered.

Unleash your inner stylist and photographer in the Aesthetic Product Perspective Challenge! At this station, you’ll have access to a selection of Denu products and props. It’s your chance to create an editorial-worthy shot using your skills to showcase the beauty and craftsmanship of these products.Â
How to Participate:
Head to the Product Photography activation and select from a curated set of Denu products. Set your scene using props, lighting or anything that enhances the visual story, then shoot your photo. Edit your final image on your device or at The Editing Station using Eizo monitors. Post your entry to Instagram (story or feed) using the hashtags #FRMEFEST2025 and #FRMEFESTaestheticproductperspective, and tag @denu_australia, @eizo_apac and @frmefest. Entries close at 4:00pm Sunday 20 July.
